Who is Dr. Day

Dr. Alfred Day brings a practitioner-scholar perspective to consulting in higher education, grounded in leadership experience in student support, case management, and institutional response systems.

His work sits at the intersection of strategy, practice, and professional education. He partners with institutions seeking to improve coordination, strengthen follow-up processes, and develop sustainable systems for supporting students.

Dr. Day currently serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Support and Belonging at the University of California, Berkeley, where he founded the Center for Support and Intervention. Dr. Day also serves as faculty for HECMA and is one of the co-authors of the CAS Standards for Case Management. His work reflects a national perspective on the evolution of case management and care structures in higher education.
